The appliance should be worn for the number of hours indicated by your orthodontist. This is usually around 14–16 hours per day.
Always handle the appliance with clean hands.
You should remove it during meals and when brushing your teeth.
It’s best to avoid wearing it during sports activities.
Keep your appliance clean by brushing it at least once a day using a separate toothbrush, lukewarm water, and soap (green soap or dish soap). Your teeth should be brushed at least twice a day.
If mineral deposits build up over time, you can use effervescent cleaning tablets (like Corega tabs, available at pharmacies and some supermarkets) twice a week.
Always store it in its case – not in your pockets, napkins, or tissues, as it can easily get lost.
Avoid constantly putting it in and taking it out, as this can loosen it and reduce its effectiveness in supporting your teeth.
In the first few days of use, you may notice increased saliva production and a slight change in your speech. This is completely normal! Both symptoms typically improve significantly after a few days.
Keep it away from your furry friends – pets love to chew on it!
And don’t forget to bring it with you to every appointment so we can check it!
