Aligners should be worn for 20–22 hours a day. The more consistently you wear them, the faster and more effectively your teeth will move.
They should only be removed for meals and brushing your teeth.
When not in use, always store them in their case to prevent loss.
If there are days when you didn’t manage to meet the required wear time, you can keep the same set for 2–3 extra days before switching to the next one. Just make sure the next set fits properly before progressing.
Keep your aligners clean by brushing them at least once a day with a toothbrush. Your teeth should be brushed at least twice a day. If you don’t have access to a toothbrush after a meal, rinse your mouth and the aligners with water before putting them back in.
If by the end of a set's use the aligners seem dirty, you can clean them with effervescent cleaning tablets (such as Corega tabs, available in pharmacies and some supermarkets).
In the first few days of wearing aligners, you may notice increased saliva production and a slight change in your speech. This is completely normal! Both symptoms usually improve significantly after the first few days.
